WASHINGTON D.C. (3/23/17) — President Donald Trump met with a group of GOP lawmakers this morning in a final attempt to salvage the American Health Care Act, but according to Politico, the two sides were unable to reach a deal, leaving the future of the bill in jeopardy.

The bill is still on track for a vote later today, but it will be hard for it to pass in its current form, due to a large amount of Republicans who either have publicly said that they will oppose it or have expressed serious doubts about it.
Despite the uncertainty, both the White House and House leaders say that the bill will be voted on today, and they remain confident that it will pass.
If it does pass, it will then move on to the Senate, where it will face another uphill battle.
