President-Elect Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson would be his nominee for Secretary of State. Tillerson is an interesting choice, as he has ties to Russia that have both democrats and republicans in the Senate wary, and unsure if they will vote to confirm him.

His ties to Russia, while minute and possibly blown out of proportion, should still scare the American people, especially after the recent allegations of Russia tampering with the election that put Trump in the White House in the first place.

A Secretary of State not getting confirmed by the Senate would be a huge blow to the administration right off the bat, but it may be what President-Elect Trump needs to remind him that there are people with checks and balances over him.

We join the US Senators in their public questioning of Tillerson and call on democrats and republicans to not vote to confirm him.
